Should you require any further information about our school and courses before you decide to request our application form then please read through our frequently asked questions below, alternatively please do not hesitate to get in touch or book an appointment.

Dont be afraid to ask

How old do I have to be to enrol on the course?
You need to be 18 years of age. However, we will assess each case individually during the interview. If you are unable to visit the school for an interview it can take place by phone.

Do I need any qualifications or previous experience in make-up to enrol on the course?
For the 8 and 12 week courses you neither need experience nor any qualifications.

How do I enrol?
You must complete the Application Form (which is available by filling in our contact form) and send it with a cheque for the Registration Fee. If you are overseas, you can send a bank draft or make a telegraphic transfer. When we receive the Registration Fee, we will send you a receipt and invoice for the balance with your acceptance letter.

What qualification do I receive after the course?
You will be given a Glauca Rossi School of Make Up Diploma. However, photographers, magazine editors etc. will give you work on the strength of your portfolio alone.

Does the school have any accreditation?
Fashion make up is a creative profession, unlike Beauty Therapy which involves special training in the use of chemicals and the anatomy, which can be dangerous and where accreditation is valid. Therefore, as with other creative schools e.g. art schools accreditation is not needed.

Will the school help me to find work?
No school will look for work on your behalf. However, you will be given a list of London-based contacts to get in touch with directly. Photographers and stylists do sometimes request make up artists from us for portfolio shoots and paid jobs, an invaluable link which has led to some of our top ex-students building their careers. When the occasion arises, we will pass the details on to our students who have completed the course.

What guarantee do I have of a successful career as a make up artist?
A school can not guarantee that a student will be successful. Only your talent, perseverance and determination can guarantee success.

Do you have an open day?
We do not have an open day. You are welcome to visit the school, please note we see people on a one to one basis by prior appointment only.

Do you have a school in my town or country?
The Glauca Rossi School of Make Up is based in London, United Kingdom, only.
